Database Management Specialist

This is an exceptional opportunity to assume a critical role in our Development Team as a seasoned Oracle DBA. The position requires a high degree of expertise in managing and optimizing complex databases.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Database Administration:
    • Install, configure, and upgrade Oracle databases (12c/19c and later) in various environments.
    • Manage database performance, health, and availability using OEM and custom monitoring scripts.
    • Implement data encryption, access control policies, and security standards aligned with regulatory guidelines.
  • Performance Optimisation:
    • Monitor and analyze database performance metrics, including AWR, ASH, and ADDM reports.
    • Tune SQL queries, indexing strategies, and optimizer statistics management to ensure optimal database performance.
    • Develop and implement backup and disaster recovery solutions using RMAN, Data Guard, and RAC.
  • Data Security and Compliance:
    • Enforce data security standards and best practices to prevent unauthorized access and data breaches.
    • Develop and maintain comprehensive audit trails, logging, and compliance reporting.
    • Ensure adherence to regulatory requirements, such as PCI-DSS, GDPR, SOX, RBI, and others.
  • Automation and Scripting:
    • Design and develop shell scripts, PL/SQL scripts, and Ansible/Terraform playbooks to automate recurring tasks.
    • Integrate database operations into CI/CD pipelines using tools like Jenkins or GitLab CI/CD.
