Backend Software Development Engineer Instructor Role

This is a full-time, on-site role that blends hands-on backend development with the responsibility of acting as an Instructor to guide students, design content, and ensure industry-relevant learning in backend technologies.

The ideal candidate will have 4-10 years of professional experience as a Software Developer/Engineer with a focus on Backend Development (preferably MERN stack).

  • Key Responsibilities:
  • Contribute technical expertise in Node.js, Express.js, Databases, APIs, or MERN stack to support academic and project-based learning.
  • Assist in designing, reviewing, and refining backend curriculum and learning materials to reflect real-world practices.
  • Provide technical guidance to students during labs and backend projects, helping them debug, optimize, and scale applications.
  • Work with faculty members and teams to align curriculum with industry needs.
  • Mentor students on backend best practices, coding standards, and industry career paths.
  • Stay updated with backend technologies and bring industry insights into the classroom.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Proficiency in Node.js, Express.js, Databases (SQL/NoSQL), and API design.
  • Solid understanding of backend fundamentals such as RESTful APIs, authentication, server-side logic, and performance optimization.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to explain technical concepts clearly.
  • Passion for knowledge-sharing, mentoring, and guiding students.
