Job Description

We are looking for a skilled Senior Backend Software Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our engineering department, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining the back-end infrastructure of our applications.

You will work closely with our cross-functional teams to identify and prioritize project requirements, and develop technical solutions that meet business needs.

Your primary focus will be on building scalable, efficient, and reliable systems using Ruby on Rails, ensuring high performance, and implementing security best practices.

Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Programming Languages: Strong proficiency in Ruby (language fundamentals, idioms, metaprogramming)
  • Object-Oriented Programming (OOP): Deep understanding of OOP, mixins, blocks, procs, and lambdas
  • Frameworks and Libraries: Familiarity with frameworks like Ruby on Rails, Grape, ActiveRecord, ActiveJob, ActionCable, and ActiveModel validations
  • Database Management: Experience working with PostgreSQL and advanced usage of ActiveRecord
  • Performance Optimization: Knowledge of techniques to optimize N+1 queries, indexes, and query plans
  • Deployment and DevOps: Proficient with Bundler, Rake, Rubygems, and experience deploying and optimizing Passenger, Thin
