Job Title: Valuations Expert

Position Overview:

We're seeking a skilled Valuations Expert to join our team. As a member of the Market and Valuations Risk Management group, you'll play a key role in managing risk and implementing control measures to ensure the integrity of our valuation processes.

This includes:

  • Performing regular Independent Price Verification (IPV), Fair Value adjustments (FVA reserves), Fair Value Hierarchy levelling, Day1 PNL assessment, Prudential Valuations (Pruvals) calculations for various products such as Bonds, Loans, Swaps, Securitized Products, Derivatives, FX, IR Swaps, Swaption, Inflation Swaps, Inflation Options, and other Interest Rates products.
  • Reporting and providing analysis of pricing variance drivers, conducting due diligence on market data from multiple sources like Bloomberg, Markit-Totem, brokers, and other independent sources.
  • Taking ownership of processes and models, thoroughly understanding underlying financial and mathematical concepts, and making improvements in consultation with stakeholders when necessary.
  • Increasing process efficiency by automating manual steps and coordinating with CTB to optimize efficiency.
  • Developing strong relationships with product control, risk management, and quantitative departments on valuation and modeling issues.
  • Ensuring controls around processes like completeness and accuracy, and adherence to key operating procedures.
  • Discussing IPV, FVA reserves, Levelling, and Prudential Valuations results with regional Valuation Teams, Desk, and other stakeholders.
  • Participating in Strategic, Tactical, or ad-hoc projects/investigation requests from stakeholders.
  • Ensuring proper backups are created and assisting other teams during contingencies.

  • Support strategic initiatives, participate in ad-hoc projects, and contribute to continuous learning and development opportunities.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams during system outages, staff shortages, or other critical situations, ensuring seamless operations and data integrity.
