Business Analyst Position

This role is a key contributor to driving business decisions through the analysis of requirements.

  • We are seeking a skilled Business Analyst with strong knowledge of hedge fund accounting concepts, including NAV, accruals, P&L attribution, fee structures, side pockets, and share classes.
  • A background in fund administration systems, such as Advent Geneva, Investran, Eagle, Calypso, or proprietary systems is required.
  • The ideal candidate will have excellent business analysis skills, including requirements gathering, process modeling, UAT, and documentation.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Gather and Analyze Requirements: Drive business decisions by analyzing requirements and identifying areas for improvement.
  • Accounting Expertise: Develop a deep understanding of hedge fund accounting workflows, including NAV calculation, trade capture, cash/position reconciliations, performance fees, and investor allocations.
  • System Enhancements: Collaborate with Fund Accounting teams to document functional and technical requirements for system enhancements.
  • Process Efficiency: Identify opportunities to improve process efficiency by streamlining reconciliations, automating manual processes, and enhancing data integrity.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Hedge Fund Accounting: Strong knowledge of hedge fund accounting concepts, including NAV, accruals, P&L attribution, fee structures, side pockets, and share classes.
  • Fund Administration Systems: Experience with fund administration systems, such as Advent Geneva, Investran, Eagle, Calypso, or proprietary systems.
  • Business Analysis: Excellent business analysis skills, including requirements gathering, process modeling, UAT, and documentation.
  • Financial Instruments: Understanding of financial instruments, including equities, fixed income, derivatives, and foreign exchange.
  • Data Analysis: Proficiency in Excel, SQL, and reporting tools for data analysis.
  • Stakeholder Communication: Effective stakeholder communication skills.
