Financial Accounting Specialist">

Our team is seeking a skilled Financial Accounting Specialist to join our organization. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring the accuracy and timeliness of financial accounting activities at our locations.

  • Monitor and analyze accounting data to ensure compliance with Eaton's Financial Policies, legal requirements, GAAP, and agreed SLAs with customers.
  • Create and implement procedures to improve internal control environments and streamline efforts.

Additionally, you will obtain and maintain a thorough understanding of financial reporting processes (RTR, OTC, & PTP) with due focus on managing Intercompany accounting in the RTR function. Ensure accurate and timely book close: monthly, quarterly, and year-end.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Collaborate with stakeholders to support overall goals and objectives, functioning as a 'business partner.'
  • Work closely with Plant Finance/Division Controller/Controllership Team, Global Process Leaders on inquiries, special reporting requests, and the like.
  • Drive cross-functional initiatives contributing to ultimate Eaton goals.
Qualifications
  • Accounting degree (CA) or MBA-Finance with majors in accounting/finance.
  • 7-9 years of relevant experience, mainly in people management.

Required skills and qualifications:

  • End-to-end process knowledge for GL/FA and good understanding of OTC and PTP encompassing overall accounting.
  • Good experience of Oracle or SAP ERP.
  • Knowledge of U.S. GAAP.
  • Exposure to SOX and similar regulations.
  • Excellent analytical, written, and oral English communication skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively across boundaries/business lines.
