Job Title: Employment Law Specialist

About the Role:

We are seeking an experienced legal professional to manage employment-related matters with a strong understanding of U.S. laws and regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Draft, review, and execute employment agreements, ensuring compliance with relevant laws and company policies.
  • Analyze and prepare bonus and commission agreements for performance-based compensation structures.
  • Negotiate client contracts to protect business interests and deliverables.
  • Manage vendor contracts, including Corp-to-Corp (C2C) and 1099 independent contractor agreements, while mitigating classification risks and regulatory non-compliance.
  • Respond to unemployment claims, collaborating with internal stakeholders and external agencies to represent business interests.
  • Handle workers' compensation insurance claims, documenting interactions, communicating with insurance providers, and ensuring legal compliance.
  • Act as a liaison between state labor departments and agencies, addressing compliance requirements, regulatory updates, and official correspondence.
  • Support internal teams with research, policy development, and training on employment law procedures as needed.

Requirements:

  • Over 10 years of experience in handling employment-related legal matters.
  • A deep understanding of U.S. laws and regulations governing employment practices.
