Tax Consultant Role

We are seeking a skilled Tax Consultant to join our dynamic team. As a key member, you will be responsible for providing expert tax advisories and handling client engagements end-to-end related to Direct Tax Laws.

  • Taking ownership of client engagements and assignments
  • Handling client engagements end-to-end related to Direct Tax Laws, such as Tax Structuring, Tax Advisory, On-going Compliance, Tax Litigation support
  • Independently analyzing and researching technical issues and interpreting provisions under the Income Tax Act and International Tax
  • Representing clients in assessments, appeals, and other related income-tax matters before Tax Officers
  • Maintaining open litigation status, tax risks analysis, and defense strategy on an ongoing basis
  • Drafting submissions for tax assessments, appeals, penalty, show cause, revision, order giving effects, refunds, recovery, rectification, and other income-tax proceedings
  • Developing good rapport with client management and assisting seniors in execution and management of assigned engagements with team support
  • Proactively solving complex problems related to client tax matters and identifying opportunities in existing client pursuits
  • Coordinating with Seniors & Partners on planning and management of assignments and providing timely and high-quality services
  • Updating clients on ongoing matters and keeping track of industry developments
Requirements:
  1. Qualified Chartered Accountants with experience in Direct Tax - Income Tax & DTAAs, International Tax
  2. Working knowledge of FEMA & Corporate Law
  3. Ability to handle tax office matters and willingness to learn and develop skills
  4. Minimum 3-5 years of work experience post qualification
