Job Title: Senior Tax Professional

Job Summary:

  • We are seeking a skilled and experienced Senior Tax Professional to join our team. As a key member of our tax department, you will be responsible for preparing and reviewing complex financial services client returns.
  • You will also review State returns for financial services clients and identify international filing requirements based on organizational chart studies.
  • Training and mentoring junior staff members on concepts and technology will be an essential part of your role.
  • You will supervise kick-off calls to understand client needs and facilitate regular connects with US counterparts.
  • Guiding staff and seniors on potential tax adjustments due to changes in tax laws and ensuring e-filing validations will be critical.
  • This role also involves recruiting, training, performance evaluation, mentoring, and enabling the team towards achieving organizational goals.
  • Fostering a culture of continuous learning and high-quality work through consistent growth opportunities is essential.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Independent tax research skills to address unseen scenarios are required.
  • Excellent communication and fluency in English (written and spoken) are necessary.
  • The ability to learn new tax software quickly is essential.
  • Quick learner, enthusiastic, positive demeanor, and a team player are required.
  • Able to work long hours during busy season times and meet deadlines.
  • Multitasking and project management skills to handle various projects simultaneously are necessary.
  • Experience in detail review of tax returns and knowledge of CCh Axcess Tax, Gofile room, and Case ware is required.
  • 5+ years of experience in Financial Services Returns with major experience in preparation and review is expected.

Requirements:

  • Qualified Chartered Accountant, Certified Public Accountant (US), or IRS Enrolled Agent qualification is necessary.
