Supply Chain Management Expert

We are seeking a highly skilled Supply Chain Management Expert to join our organization. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in procurement and importation, with a focus on lithium-ion battery components.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Identify and evaluate potential suppliers for lithium-ion battery components and logistics
  • Establish and maintain strong relationships with suppliers, transporters, shipment, and other modes of logistics
  • Conduct supplier and logistics vendors audits and assessments to ensure quality and reliability
  • Prepare and process purchase orders for lithium-ion battery components and materials
  • Negotiate pricing, terms, and conditions with suppliers to secure favorable deals
  • Monitor market trends to make informed purchasing decisions
  • Coordinate with suppliers and logistics providers to manage the importation of goods
  • Ensure all import documentation is accurate and complete, including invoices, packing lists, and certificates of origin
  • Manage customs clearance processes to prevent delays
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant international trade, shipment, and logistics regulations and standards
  • Stay updated on changes in import/export laws and regulations affecting lithium-ion battery components
  • Maintain accurate records of all import transactions and documentation
  • Monitor inventory levels to ensure adequate supply of components for production
  • Work closely with the inventory management team to forecast demand and plan purchases accordingly
  • Coordinate with shipping and logistics companies to arrange the transportation of goods
  • Track shipments and address any issues that arise during transit
  • Optimize logistics processes to reduce costs and improve efficiency
  • Prepare regular reports on procurement activities, supplier performance, and market conditions
  • Analyse data to identify opportunities for cost savings and process improvements

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in procurement and importation, preferably in the electronics or battery industry
  • Strong knowledge of international trade regulations and customs procedures
  • Excellent negotiation and communication skills
  • Proficiency in ERP systems such as SAP
