Job Overview

Payroll Specialist Role

You will oversee payroll processing, statutory compliance, and administrative operations. Your responsibilities will include ensuring accurate payroll execution, maintaining labour law compliance, managing audits, and supporting day-to-day HR & administrative functions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Process monthly payroll accurately and on time to ensure timely disbursement of salaries and allowances.
  • Manage inputs (attendance, leaves, overtime, incentives, deductions) to ensure seamless payroll processing.
  • Coordinate with finance for disbursement, reconciliations, and accounting to maintain accuracy and efficiency.
  • Ensure the confidentiality of payroll data to protect sensitive employee information.

Compliance & Statutory Management:

  • Ensure compliance with PF, ESI, TDS, Gratuity, Professional Tax, and other statutory requirements to avoid penalties and fines.
  • Stay updated on labour laws, taxation, and compliance changes to adapt quickly to regulatory updates.
  • Handle audits, inspections, and statutory queries to resolve any discrepancies or issues promptly.

Employee Benefits & Records:

  • Maintain accurate employee records for payroll, compliance, and benefits to ensure smooth administration.
  • Administer employee benefits programs as per statutory norms to provide comprehensive support to employees.

Administration & Office Management:

  • Manage vendor coordination, facilities, and office supplies to ensure efficient operational functioning.
  • Support HR operations (attendance, leave management, engagement activities) to foster a positive work environment.
  • Ensure the smooth execution of HR, payroll, and admin processes to minimize disruptions.

Reporting & Coordination:

  • Prepare regular payroll, compliance, and admin MIS reports to facilitate informed decision-making.
  • Support audits, budgeting, and HR operations to maintain transparency and accountability.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in HR, Finance, Commerce, or a related field.
  • 2–3 years of experience in payroll, statutory compliance, and administration.
  • Strong knowledge of Indian labour laws, payroll systems, and office administration practices.
  • Hands-on experience with payroll software/HRMS.
  • Proficiency in MS Excel and report preparation.
  • Strong attention to detail, confidentiality, and accuracy.
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.

Work Schedule: Monday to Friday, 12:00 PM to 09:00 PM IST
