Job Title:
We are seeking a highly experienced Database Administrator with a strong background in database engineering, administration, and support. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 4 years of experience in MySQL databases.
The successful candidate will possess expertise in SQL, with experience spanning from evaluation of new frameworks to deployment, maintenance, and performance tuning of clusters. A solid understanding of both SQL and NoSQL landscapes, as well as available frameworks, is also essential.
In addition, the ideal candidate will be proficient in Linux and network maintenance, and have strong skills in one or more scripting languages, including Perl, Python, and Shell.
About the Role:
- Develop high-performance databases using MySQL.
- Maintain and optimize database performance, ensuring efficient data retrieval and storage.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and deploy databases that meet business requirements.
- Perform regular backups and disaster recovery procedures to ensure data integrity.
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends and emerging technologies, making recommendations for future-proofing our database infrastructure.
Requirements:
- 7+ years of experience in database engineering, administration, and support.
- 4+ years of experience specifically in MySQL databases.
- Expertise in SQL, including framework evaluation, deployment, maintenance, and performance tuning.
- Solid understanding of SQL and NoSQL landscapes, as well as available frameworks.
- Proficiency in Linux and network maintenance.
- Strong skills in one or more scripting languages, including Perl, Python, and Shell.
- Good to Have: Proficiency in Elastic and Redis.
