Database System Expertise

Position Overview

We seek an exceptional Database System Expert to manage and optimize our distributed databases for high availability and performance. The ideal candidate will have extensive hands-on experience in managing distributed systems, including high availability and schema planning.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, implement, and maintain highly available and scalable database architectures.
  • Optimize data distribution, sharding, caching, and graph traversals for efficient query performance.
  • Develop and refine schemas and data models for search, caching, and graph-based use cases.
  • Tune query performance and indexing strategies to meet Service Level Agreements (SLAs).
  • Collaborate with the development team for application integration and troubleshoot issues in real-time.
  • Implement monitoring and alerting to detect performance issues and ensure security and compliance with encryption and access controls.

Requirements and Skills:

Education: Bachelor's/Master's degree in Computer Science or related field.

Experience: 5+ years of experience in database administration, architecture, and optimization.

  • Expertise in distributed database management, schema design, and data modeling.
  • Strong experience in DevOps tools such as IaC, Configuration, CI/CD, Containerization, and Monitoring.
  • Proficient in scripting for automation and troubleshooting.
