Job Title: Global Procurement Specialist

Key Responsibilities:
  • Strategic Sourcing: Possess in-depth knowledge of electronics component level costing, including passive and active components, ICs, PCB, and PCB assembly processes.
  • Bill of Material Review: Conduct thorough review and separation of components based on Bill of material, PCB Gerber, Mechanical Drawing, Cable Assembly Drawing, Label Spec & Consumable data sheet.
  • Supplier Relationship Management: Coordinate with suppliers, negotiate prices, and select vendors based on cost, quality, and capability.
  • Negotiation and Procurement: Analyze quotes, negotiate prices and terms, and finalize procurements while maintaining cost control.
  • Vendor Development and Diversification: Identify and develop alternate vendor sources for localization, delivery time reduction, and improved consistency in quality and competition.
  • Obsolescence Management: Find alternative sources for obsolete parts and source locally to increase the proportion of locally sourced products and materials.
  • Inventory Management and Optimization: Establish VMI programs for local and import suppliers to reduce inventory and manage Days On Site (DOS).
Requirements:
  • Educational Qualification: Bachelor of Engineering in Electronics, Mechanical, Electrical, or any stream is mandatory. MBA in Material Management, Logistics Management, Imports & Exports Management is an added advantage.

The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of procurement strategies, supplier relationship management, and inventory optimization. They must be able to analyze complex data, negotiate effectively, and communicate clearly. This role requires excellent problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work under pressure.
