Concept Artist Role

We are seeking an experienced Concept Artist to join our team and help us develop innovative concepts for our projects.

The Concept Artist will be responsible for:

  • Create detailed drawings and paintings of environments, characters, buildings, vehicles, and props.
  • Liaising with producers, art directors, and game developers to ensure a thorough understanding of the project brief.
  • Researching concept subjects, styles, and genres to stay up-to-date with industry trends.
  • Responding positively and proactively to feedback from colleagues and stakeholders.
  • Continuing to develop concepts and designs throughout the production process.
  • Using traditional and technological approaches to create 2D and 3D designs through drawing and painting.
  • Pitching ideas clearly to clients and design teams.
  • Adapting and refining work based on feedback.
  • Maintaining effective communication with colleagues and stakeholders.
  • Staying confident in using creative programs and technologies such as Photoshop, Painter, SketchUp, and Illustrator.
  • Meeting tight deadlines and delivering high-quality results.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you should have:

  • A degree in fine art or a related field.
  • Excellent knowledge of Photoshop and other creative software.
  • A bold and inspirational approach to working under pressure.
  • A positive attitude and a strong drive to succeed.

Bonus Requirements

In addition to the above requirements, it would be beneficial if you have:

  • An interest in gaming and mobile app development.
  • A portfolio that showcases your ability to create stylized characters and environments.
  • A strong foundation in traditional arts, including color theory, figure drawing, and illustration.
