Job Description:

The Assistant Manager oversees the maintenance and upkeep of engineering facilities, ensuring timely completion of projects within budgetary guidelines.

Main responsibilities include managing budgets, capital expenditure projects, preventative maintenance, and energy conservation. The Assistant Manager ensures regulatory compliance to facility regulations and safety standards.

Duties involve managing heat, light, and power consumption, recommending current best methods for energy conservation and economical facility operations. Additionally, the Assistant Manager develops specifications and requirements for service contracts, administers such contracts, and distributes preventive maintenance and repair work orders.

The Assistant Manager is responsible for maintaining grounds, guestrooms, public space, restaurants, property vehicles, and recreational facilities. They develop a long-term plan for preventative maintenance and asset protection.

The role requires building positive relationships with external stakeholders, including city building zoning department, fire prevention bureau, and vendors. The Assistant Manager ensures fire crews have a complete understanding of all procedures, equipment, and alarms.

The Assistant Manager conducts regular property inspections to ensure buildings and grounds are maintained in excellent condition. They conduct guest room and common area inspections to ensure guest satisfaction.

Main duties also include selecting and ordering new equipment, supplies, and furnishings. It also involves managing parts and equipment inventory, maintaining property life safety systems, and ensuring building and equipment licenses and certifications are current.
