Job Title: Facilities Operations Manager

At our hotel, we are seeking a skilled and experienced Facilities Operations Manager to join our team. This is an exciting opportunity for a professional who is passionate about delivering exceptional results in a fast-paced environment.

About the Role:
The Facilities Operations Manager will be responsible for managing all engineering maintenance operations, including maintaining the building, grounds, and physical plant with particular attention towards safety, security, and asset protection. This role involves managing the budget, capital expenditure projects, preventative maintenance, and energy conservation. Additionally, the Facilities Operations Manager will ensure regulatory compliance to facility regulations and safety standards.

Main Responsibilities:
- Manage the physical plant, including equipment, refrigeration, HVAC, plumbing, water treatment, and electrical systems.
- Develop specifications and requirements for service contracts and administer such contracts to support building needs.
- Distribute preventive maintenance and repair work orders and monitor timeliness and quality of completion.
- Oversee and direct the maintenance of grounds, guestrooms, public space, restaurants, property vehicles, and recreational facilities.
- Develop a long-term plan for preventative maintenance and asset protection and oversee the execution of the plan.
- Develop project plans in accordance with renovation or new construction needs.
- Contact contractors for bids and supervise construction to ensure timely completion of projects within budgetary guidelines.
- Build positive relationships with external customers, such as city building zoning department, fire prevention bureau, and vendors.
- Ensure fire crew has complete understanding of all procedures, equipment, and alarms.
- Perform monthly property inspection to ensure buildings and grounds are maintained in excellent condition.
- Conduct guest room and common area inspection to ensure guest satisfaction.
- Inspect and evaluate the physical condition of facilities in order to determine the type of work required.
- Recommend or arrange for additional services such as painting, repair work, renovations, and the replacement of furnishings and equipment.
- Select and order or purchase new equipment, supplies, and furnishings.
- Manage parts and equipment inventory.

Required Skills and Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED, 3 years experience in the engineering and maintenance or related professional area, technical training in HVAC-R electrical plumbing.
- OR 2-year degree from an accredited university in Building and Construction, Engineering, Mechanics, or related major, 1 year experience in the engineering and maintenance or related professional area, technical training in HVAC-R electrical plumbing.
