Onsite Support Engineer

Role & responsibilities

a) Managing and maintaining the network facilities of the Hotel, ensuring the equipment (i.e. router, switches, AP, gateway) are operating correctly, and regular review of continuous improvement in service levels.

b) Hotel Issues - diagnose, troubleshoot, and identify solutions to resolve any technical issues that the Service Provider is responsible for under the Agreement.

c) Guest Issues - take ownership of guest issues reported and manage problems through to resolution, provide any requested or follow up daily checks on guests.

d) Proactive tasks random room testing should take place daily to ensure network reliability including ISP line speed and performance. Provide periodical preventative maintenance of equipment as required.

e) Ticketing - follow standard procedures for ticket management, escalation management ensuring the right additional resources are involved if required – NOC, regional operations supervisor and/or local account manager.

f) Reports – record, analyze and submit the report of the running status of the facilities routinely in addition or in conjunction with any daily logs, ticket reports or any other report requested by the Hotel. Ensure these records are up to date and accurate, analyze the reports for potential service improvements and submit as required. Any high failure rates must be analyzed in depth for resolution recommendations or for timely escalation as appropriate.

g) Collaterals – assist in deployment, distribution of collaterals in rooms as reasonably requested.
