Job Overview

This is a dynamic role that supports the business teams in drafting, vetting and negotiating agreements mainly relating to business development, international business, trusts and other activities.

As a key member of the team, you will be advising on and structuring agreements to align them with the deal in hand and ensure that the interests of our organization are protected. You will also work with stakeholders at various locations on statutory compliances to ensure necessary statutory compliances are in place.

Responsibilities:

  • Agreements Management: Drafting, structuring, vetting, negotiating and finalizing agreements in line with the business understanding and ensuring appropriate risk mitigation for the organization.
  • Statutory Compliances: Reviewing the statutory compliances at various locations and suggesting remedial measures. Working with concerned stakeholders to ensure remedial measures are put in place in a timely manner.
  • Risk Mitigation: Understanding the business and analyzing the risk involved and advising on mitigating liabilities for the organization.
  • Advisory Services: Advising stakeholders from time to time on various issues.

Educational Qualifications:

  • LL.B. / LL.M.

Key Skills and Qualifications:

  • Drafting, vetting and negotiating various kinds of agreements within India and cross-border.
  • Exposure to Statutory Compliances, Litigation and Intellectual Property law would be advantageous.
  • Strong negotiation skills and business and financial acumen.
  • Strong communications and drafting skills, including the ability to draft high-quality agreements and other documents.
  • Well-versed in how business operates in a high degree of professional ethics, integrity and gravitas.
  • Ability to have influence across all levels of the business including peers and senior management, and able to work independently.
  • Detail-oriented, have good judgment and sound risk mitigating skills.
