Accounting Expertise for Investment Management

We are seeking a seasoned accounting professional to join our team as an Investment Accounting Manager. In this critical role, you will be responsible for ensuring the accuracy of investment accounting and providing support to staff with complex entries and reconciliations.

This position requires a strong understanding of consolidated concepts and private equity accounting. You will have hands-on experience in both investment and general ledger accounting, as well as proficiency in various accounting systems and platforms.

The ideal candidate will possess a proven track record in investment accounting for family offices or similar environments. They will also have the ability to train and support staff on complex accounting entries and reconciliations.

Key Responsibilities:
  • General Ledger Accounting: Manage and maintain accurate records of financial transactions and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Investment Accounting: Oversee the administration of investment performance platforms, including Sage, QBO, Geneva, and Investran.
  • Consolidated Accounting Concepts: Apply expertise in eliminating entries and consolidating financial statements.
  • Private Equity Accounting: Develop and implement accounting strategies for private equity investments.
  • Wealth Enterprise Accounting: Allocate entity costs effectively and manage wealth enterprise accounting functions.
  • Trust & Foundation Accounting: Provide expert accounting services for trusts and foundations.
  • Basic Tax Treatments: Ensure compliance with tax regulations and manage tax-related matters.
Desired Skills:
  • Hands-on Experience: Possess hands-on experience with both investment performance platforms (e.g., Black Diamond) and accounting systems (e.g., Sage, QBO).
  • Proven Track Record: Demonstrate a proven track record in investment accounting for family offices or similar environments.
