Finance and Investment Specialist

The core objective of this role is to form a collaborative bond with clients, comprehending their investment requirements in the structured finance domain.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Client Onboarding: Analyze and interpret legal agreements, understand servicer or trustees' reporting, and onboard client's investment portfolio.
  • Risk and Exposure Monitoring: Collaborate closely with clients to support risk and exposure monitoring of transactions.
  • Covenant and Metric Calculations: Calculate and monitor covenants, concentration limits, eligibility criteria, concentration tests, and Borrowing Base calculations.
  • Workstream Operations: Assist/lead daily operations of various workstreams and ensure accurate and timely deliverables.
  • Data Accuracy: Liaise with Business Analyst and Implementation team to ensure data and logic on proprietary platforms are accurate.
  • Mentorship and Guidance: Mentor and guide freshers of the team to improve overall learning curve.
  • Portfolio Surveillance: Provide enhanced surveillance to clients on their portfolios and share critical aspects concerning overall performance proactively.
  • Process Standardization: Assist in standardizing and streamlining processes to increase efficiencies and set up SOPS and processes around deliverables.

Essential Experience/Skill Set:

  • Structured Finance Expertise: Thorough understanding of Structured Finance products/corporate credit landscape/ABL/CLO/Middle Market Portfolio Financing.
  • Financial Knowledge: In-depth comprehension of core financial and accounting concepts.
  • Financial Modelling: Proficiency in financial modelling using MS Excel.
  • Financial Databases: Familiarity with various financial databases, including Bloomberg, Capital IQ, Factiva.
  • Team Collaboration: Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
  • Communication Skills: Strong communication skills - written, verbal, and interpersonal.
  • Time Management: Ability to work well under pressure to meet strict and aggressive deadlines.
  • Education and Experience: Preferred candidate should hold an MBA or advanced degree in finance like CFA, CAIA, and FRM. Prior experience of at least 3-5 years with an Investment Bank, Investment Management firm, or Financial Advisory firm is recommended.
