Job Overview

We are seeking a seasoned Principal Engineer to drive the design and implementation of our core distributed systems. As a key member of our team, you will architect and build the foundational backend services that form the backbone of our platform.

Key Responsibilities
  • Architect and build the foundational backend services that meet rigorous standards for performance and reliability.
  • Provide technical leadership and mentorship through exemplary code, design documents, and thoughtful code reviews.
  • Take ownership of complex technical projects from conception to deployment.
  • Solve challenging technical issues in distributed computing, large-scale data processing, and overall system architecture.
Requirements
  • Has 10+ years of experience in software engineering with a proven track record of designing and building complex, large-scale distributed systems.
  • Boasts deep expertise in backend development, including system architecture, data modeling, and API design.
  • Practices a strong bias for action and a pragmatic approach to problem-solving.
  • Has strong proficiency in at least one backend language (e.g., Python, Go, Java, C++).
  • Has experience with modern cloud and data infrastructure (e.g., Google Cloud, Docker/Kubernetes, Postgres).
