Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced data engineer to join our team and contribute to the design, development, and maintenance of large-scale data systems.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Trino (PrestoSQL), SQL performance tuning, and query optimization, as well as proficiency in distributed computing frameworks and large-scale data systems.

  • Design and implement efficient data processing pipelines using Trino (PrestoSQL) to meet business needs.
  • Tune SQL queries for optimal performance and troubleshoot complex issues in production environments.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration with distributed computing frameworks and large-scale data systems.
  • Develop in-depth knowledge of Hive Metastore, Iceberg, Delta Lake, HDFS, Kafka, S3, GCS, or ADLS, and apply this expertise to solve real-world problems.
  • Familiarize yourself with Linux, shell scripting, and JVM-based application troubleshooting to ensure smooth operations.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices in monitoring and logging tools like Grafana, Prometheus, and Splunk.
  • Experience with Kubernetes or Docker-based deployments is preferred but not required.
  • Utilize strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills to drive results-oriented solutions.

Requirements:

  1. 5+ years of experience in a related field.
  2. Strong background in Trino (PrestoSQL), SQL performance tuning, and query optimization.
  3. Proficiency in distributed computing frameworks and large-scale data systems.
  4. Knowledge of Hive Metastore, Iceberg, Delta Lake, HDFS, Kafka, S3, GCS, or ADLS.
  5. Familiarity with Linux, shell scripting, and JVM-based application troubleshooting.
  6. Exposure to monitoring and logging tools like Grafana, Prometheus, and Splunk.
  7. Experience with Kubernetes or Docker-based deployments (preferred).
