  • The Proposal Development Specialist must define proposal concepts by identifying opportunities, studying Requests for Proposals (RFPs), and attending strategy meetings.
  • To ensure timely and high-quality proposals, the specialist must set priorities and target dates for information collection, writing, review, approval, and submission.
  • Coordination with contributors and providing proposal status updates during review meetings are essential.
  • The specialist must gather proposal information by identifying sources, coordinating submissions, and communicating risks associated with proposals.
  • Assembling proposal content including project details, objectives, deliverables, implementation methods, timelines, staffing, performance standards, and evaluation criteria is a critical task.
  • The Proposal Development Specialist must create, revise, and edit drafts, including executive summaries, conclusions, and organizational credentials.
  • Presentation preparation involves evaluating text, graphics, and binding materials.
