Procurement Specialist - Marine

Main Responsibilities:

  • Purchasing and Vendor Management: Source, procure, and manage spare parts, consumables, and technical equipment for vessels.
  • Order Processing and Coordination: Process purchase requisitions from vessels and fleet management teams efficiently, ensuring accurate and timely order placement, tracking, and follow-ups.
  • Budgeting and Cost Control: Monitor and control procurement budgets, identifying opportunities for cost savings without compromising quality or safety.
  • Compliance and Documentation: Ensure all procurement activities comply with company policies, maritime regulations, and classification society requirements, maintaining accurate records of purchases, contracts, and vendor agreements.
  • Technical Support and Communication: Collaborate closely with vessel superintendents and technical teams to understand and fulfill purchasing requirements, providing alternative solutions when specific parts or equipment are unavailable.
