Job Overview

We are seeking a seasoned Elasticsearch professional to evaluate the performance of our clusters, plan changes for high-load events, apply security patches, and enhance monitoring infrastructure.

  • Evaluate cluster performance to identify potential issues.
  • Plan proactive measures for optimal cluster performance during peak periods.
  • Apply security patches and fixes to prevent problems.
  • Test incremental upgrades for smooth operation.

The ideal candidate will have expertise in Elasticsearch administration, strong knowledge of configuration management tools like Puppet, and experience with automation and infrastructure as code using Terraform or CloudFormation templates.

Additionally, they should be proficient in scripting languages such as Python, Bash, Go, Ruby, Perl, and CI/CD tools like Jenkins, Pipelines, Artifactory, etc.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Continuously optimize cost-vs-performance through testing new host types or configurations.
  • Maintain other parts of the data pipeline, including server-less or server-based systems for feeding data into the Elasticsearch pipeline.
