This senior data scientist role requires passion for developing machine learning and data analytics solutions that drive business results. You'll collaborate with a dedicated team of researchers, developers, and architects to build cutting-edge tools and services.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Create scalable Big Data infrastructure and employ machine learning to automate processes in our map-making operations.
  • Develop and test analytical models to inform data-driven decisions and system control needs.
  • Serve as an expert in areas of data mining, statistics, and predictive analysis to drive business outcomes.
  • Lead predictive modeling projects or teams to deliver high-impact solutions.

Requirements:

  • A master's or PhD degree in Statistics, Applied Mathematics, Computer Science, or Econometrics with expertise in computational statistics/science/engineering, data mining, and machine learning.
  • At least 7 years of related experience in data science, including programming skills in languages like Python, R, or Matlab.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of data mining and analytic methods such as regression, classification, clustering, association rules, decision trees, and Bayesian network analysis.
  • Familiarity with big data technologies like Hadoop and Spark, and experience with SQL, shell scripting, and Python programming.
  • Excellent communication skills to explain complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Development experience with Scala, Docker, GIS data, and NoSQL databases like DynamoDB.
