Industrial Automation Specialist

The role of a SCADA engineer involves designing, implementing, and maintaining Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition systems. This professional plays a crucial part in ensuring the smooth operation of industrial processes by collecting data from various sources, analyzing it, and making necessary adjustments to optimize performance.
Responsibilities:
- Design and implement SCADA systems for monitoring and controlling industrial processes;
- Maintain existing SCADA systems, including upgrades and updates;
- Troubleshoot issues with SCADA systems and resolve problems in a timely manner;
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure system integration and compatibility;
- Develop and maintain documentation for SCADA systems.
- Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, C++, or Java;
- Knowledge of data communication protocols (e.g., IEC 60870-5-104, MODBUS);
- Experience with SCADA software and hardware (e.g., Wonderware, Siemens SIMATIC);
- Familiarity with IT/OT infrastructure and network security principles;
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field;
Minimum 2 years of experience in SCADA engineering or a related field.
