Senior SCADA and MES Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior SCADA and MES Engineer to join our team.

This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who is passionate about industrial automation, data acquisition, and visualization. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining scalable and secure SCADA/MES systems that drive business growth and improve operational efficiency.

  • Key Responsibilities:
  • Design and deploy Ignition SCADA and MES applications for manufacturing operations
  • Architect and implement real-time data acquisition, visualization, and reporting solutions
  • Ensure seamless integration of OT systems (PLC, SCADA, MES) with enterprise IT systems, ERP databases, and cloud platforms
  • Develop and maintain secure data exchange using REST APIs, MQTT, and OPC UA protocols
  • Manage industrial databases, SQL historian, and timeseries databases for high availability and performance
  • Collaborate with cross-disciplinary teams to align system capabilities with production and business needs
  • Provide technical leadership in digital transformation initiatives, such as Industry 4.0 and predictive analytics
  • Troubleshoot, optimize, and support existing SCADA/MES deployments to minimize downtime
  • Mentor junior engineers and facilitate knowledge sharing across the engineering team

Requirements:

  • A strong background in MES functions, including production tracking, OEE, downtime analysis, traceability, and SPC
  • Proficiency in database technologies, such as SQL Server, MySQL, PostgreSQL, or equivalent
  • Hands-on experience with OT/IT integration technologies
  • Expertise in REST APIs for system interconnectivity
  • Familiarity with IIoT messaging and lightweight communication using MQTT
  • Strong knowledge of industrial control systems, PLC, SCADA, HMIs, and plant floor connectivity
  • Familiarity with manufacturing standards, ISA95, ISA88, ISA99, IEC 62443
  • Excellent problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills
  • Experience with cloud-based IIoT platforms, Azure IoT, AWS IoT, etc.
  • Knowledge of cybersecurity best practices in OT environments
  • Familiarity with containerization, Docker, Kubernetes, for SCADA/MES deployments
  • Experience in working on large-scale digital transformation projects
  • Certifications, such as Ignition Gold Certified Specialist, OPC UA, or relevant industrial IT/OT certifications
