Job Description:

Our organization is seeking an experienced Design Engineer to lead the development of electrical switchgear assemblies. The successful candidate will be responsible for detailed design, development, and testing of MCCs, control panels, motor starters, distribution boards, and protection systems.

  • Prepare and review design documents, single line diagrams (SLDs), wiring diagrams, and panel layouts.
  • Select appropriate components (circuit breakers, relays, contactors, busbars, etc.) ensuring compliance with standards like IEC, ANSI, IS.

The Design Engineer will also perform electrical calculations (short circuit, voltage drop, thermal rating) to validate design safety and performance. Additionally, they will support prototype testing, fault analysis, and design optimization.

Required Skills & Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline.
  • Certifications in electrical design or project management are a plus.

Other Responsibilities:

The Design Engineer will maintain design records, BOMs, and version control for all projects. They will collaborate with procurement, manufacturing, and project teams to resolve design-related issues and provide technical support for customer queries and project execution.
