Job Description

The role of Assistant Manager Finance Account entails overseeing the financial operations of the university, encompassing accounts payable, statutory compliances, payroll, and treasury functions.

Key responsibilities include verification and accounting of bank payment entries in ERP systems, preparation of bank NEFT letters, and obtaining signatures from authorized persons for payment.

  • Verification and accounting of bank payment entries in ERP
  • Verification and accounting of cash payment entries in ERP
  • Preparation of bank NEFT letters and obtaining signatures from authorized persons for payment
  • Preparation of payment advises and sending mail to concerned departments
  • Preparation of fund requirement statements as per fund requirements and obtaining signatures from authorized persons for fund requests
  • Verification and accounting of consultancy bills and recommending for payment
  • Sponsored research projects, consultancy projects bill verification and accounting
  • Updating and maintaining dashboards for university overhead income, professional development fund, etc...
  • Monthly closing of all journal entries and other accounting entries
  • Preparation of monthly cash books with closing cash on hand
  • Preparation of daily bank and cash balance dashboards
  • Students' refunds reconciliation
  • Vehicles loan EMI payments & reconciliation
  • Processing of PF, ESI, Professional Tax, TDS payments
  • Providing information for TDS returns filing
  • Collecting provisional and final investment declarations for income tax and supporting documents from employees and updating the same in ERP
  • Coordination for employee Form 16
  • Verification and processing of salaries
  • Verification and processing of Ph.D, PDF, and M.Tech stipends
  • Full and final settlement of salary for resigned employees
  • Improvement of existing processes through finding new things/new processes
