Job Title: Placement Strategist and Corporate Relations Lead

This executive role calls for a visionary mindset, robust corporate network, and the ability to drive results. The ideal candidate will play a pivotal part in building and sustaining relationships with top recruiters, ensuring exceptional placement outcomes, and elevating the industry presence of the institute.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Strategic Leadership: Design and implement placement strategies that align with the institute's vision and market trends.
  • Corporate Relations: Develop and maintain strong relationships with leading companies, startups, and public sector enterprises for placements, internships, and live projects. Organize industry conclaves, guest lectures, and other corporate interactions to boost engagement.
  • Placement Operations: Oversee the entire placement process, from pre-placement talks to final offers, ensuring a seamless and professional experience for both recruiters and students.
  • Student Readiness: Collaborate closely with faculty and training partners to prepare students to meet industry expectations. This includes pre-placement training on resume building, interview prep, and group discussion practice. Mentor students on career choices, profile building, and industry expectations.
  • Alumni Engagement: Leverage the alumni network for placement support, mentorship, and networking opportunities.
  • Analytics & Reporting: Track placement metrics, prepare detailed reports, and present insights to leadership and stakeholders.

Quantitative Targets:

  • Achieve 360 student placements for final placements and 360 student placements for summer internships.
  • Increase the median salary of the placed batch compared to the previous year.

Desired Qualifications & Experience:

  • Masters degree (preferably an MBA or equivalent) from a reputable institution.
  • 10+ years of relevant experience in corporate relations, placements, business development, or HR, ideally within a reputable academic institution or corporate setting.
  • Strong network across various industries (FMCG, BFSI, IT/ITES, Consulting, Manufacturing, etc.).
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
  • A strategic thinker with a result-oriented approach.
  • Demonstrated experience in building and leading high-performing teams.
