Healthcare Assistant
Job Description:As a skilled Healthcare Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting patients with their daily activities, including bathing, dressing, feeding, and mobility. You will also assist patients in moving in and out of beds, wheelchairs, or stretchers.
Responsibilities:- Patient Care Assistance: Provide assistance with daily living activities, such as personal care, nutrition, and mobility support.
- Nursing Support: Monitor and record vital signs (temperature, pulse, respiration, blood pressure) and promptly report changes in patient condition to nursing staff.
- Cleanliness & Hygiene: Maintain patient rooms, beds, and surroundings in a clean state while following hygiene and infection control protocols.
- Support to Medical/Nursing Staff: Assist in preparing patients for examinations or procedures and transport samples, equipment, or patients within the facility.
- Feeding & Medication Support: Support patients with feeding as per diet plans and ensure timely medication administration under supervision.
- Documentation Assistance: Maintain patient records and update nursing logs when required.
- Emergency Response: Provide immediate support during emergencies such as CPR, ICU transfers, or evacuations.
- Waste Management: Safely segregate and dispose of medical and general waste as per protocols.
