Job Description

We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive compliance expert to join our Legal team.

The ideal candidate will work closely with cross-functional teams, including product development, marketing, and quality assurance, to identify regulatory requirements and implement effective strategies.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Research and Analysis: Conduct in-depth research and analysis of laws, regulations, and standards applicable to Chargebee products.
  • Compliance Monitoring: Monitor and stay on top of regulatory requirements to ensure compliance.
  • Audit and Gap Assessment: Conduct gap assessments and audits to identify potential compliance issues.
  • Documentation: Prepare and maintain comprehensive documentation relating to product compliance.
  • Training and Guidance: Provide training and guidance to internal teams on compliance requirements and best practices.
  • Liaison: Liaise with law firms, third-party vendors, and regulators on product compliance matters.
  • Policies and Procedures: Assist in the development and implementation of compliance policies and procedures.
  • Investigation and Resolution: Investigate and resolve compliance-related issues and respond to queries from stakeholders.
  • Status Updates: Provide status updates to management and relevant internal stakeholders.
  • Advisory Role: Advise product/business teams on product compliance for new geographies, product introductions, etc.
Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you should have:

  • Strong Knowledge: Strong knowledge of laws, regulations, and standards applicable to product development.
  • Excellent Communication Skills: Excellent communication skills to effectively communicate complex legal and regulatory concepts to internal product and engineering teams.
