Financial Operations Specialist

Seeking a seasoned accounting professional with 3-5 years of experience in private accounting. The ideal candidate must possess expertise in day-to-day accounting operations, including cash receipts and A/R subledger processing, cash disbursements and A/P subledger maintenance, payroll processing through accounting software, and general ledger upkeep.
- Responsible for daily accounting tasks such as processing cash receipts and maintaining the A/R subledger, processing cash disbursements and maintaining the A/P subledger, payroll processing through payroll provider and accounting software, and general ledger management.
- Preparing cash, credit card, and other asset and liability account reconciliations, and maintaining support worksheets for each for month end and year end.
- Providing other tasks as assigned by supervisor to be completed under guidance of supervisor.
- Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent in accounting or related field, or similar training or on the job experience.
- At least 3 years of experience in the job offered or as an accountant in private accounting.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Excellent organizational skills.
- Experience with accounting platforms such as QuickBooks, Microsoft GP, Sage Intacct, etc.
- Ability to work independently on tasks with some supervision.
- Ability to manage multiple engagements, and competing priorities.
