
Strategic Talent Acquisition Specialist

As a seasoned talent professional, you will be responsible for creating and implementing recruiting strategies to source the best talent. This involves exercising a wide degree of creativity and near- and long-term recruiting vision to drive business understanding and personal organization.
You will advocate and implement diversity and inclusion initiatives in the recruitment process, ensuring a healthy and sustainable pipeline of qualified candidates. Additionally, you will review resumes and credentials for appropriateness of skills, experience and knowledge in relation to position requirements.
Building strong working relationships with Hiring Managers, functional leaders, and other HR team members is crucial to achieving success. You will prepare candidates for interviews and provide detailed information on the company, mission, culture, department background, job descriptions, and expectation-setting.
In collaboration with the hiring managers and HR Business Partners, you will extend offers of employment to selected candidates within the guidelines of company compensation policy and delegation of authority. Staying informed of trends and innovative recruiting techniques is essential to driving innovative recruiting practices.
As a career counselor, you will guide Amgen candidates (internal and external) and prospects through the process, providing advice and giving them a well-rounded view of Amgen's business, including potential future paths within the organization.
Developing and delivering Amgen's message of opportunity, success, diversity and potential to candidates and prospects as a brand ambassador is also an important part of this role. Finally, you will provide regular updates to HR leadership on recruitment progress and updates.
- Must Have: Previous recruiting or sourcing experience at the professional and management team level.
- Experience delivering results by creating, implementing and driving an executive or functional recruitment processes while exhibiting subject matter expertise to influence executives and other business leaders or decision makers.
- Experience structuring, negotiating and delivering complex offers including a thorough understanding of various compensation levers and company benefits.
- Good to Have: Life-sciences (Biotech/Pharmaceutical) industry experience
- Strategic adviser that drives excellence and takes accountability of recruitment processes and results to ensure outstanding experience for candidates and hiring managers.
Key Qualifications:
- Leadership and relationship-building skills with executives, senior leaders, various cross-functional partners, HR (business partners, compensation/benefits, mobility) and executive support staff.
- Exercise discretion and sound judgement, uses analytical approach and has ability to think proactively and strategically throughout the recruitment and negotiation process.
- Communication and executive level presentation skills with the ability to express ideas in a persuasive, confident, organized and eloquent manner.
Basic Qualifications:
A Doctorate degree OR A Master's degree and 4 to 6 years of Recruiting or Sourcing experience OR A Bachelor's degree and 6 to 8 years of Recruiting or Sourcing experience OR A Diploma and 10 to 12 years of Recruiting or Sourcing experience.
Functional Skills:
- Previous recruiting or sourcing experience at the professional and management team level.
