System Operations Administrator

We are seeking an experienced System Operations Administrator to join our team. This is a critical role that requires strong technical skills, attention to detail, and excellent communication abilities.

The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of computer systems, servers, and virtualization technologies. They will troubleshoot and resolve IT service issues related to operating systems and servers, partner with infrastructure teams to identify and resolve issues, and implement optimization techniques to maximize system efficiency.

This role involves building and maintaining web, virtual, and client-server environments for the enterprise. The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of administering UNIX platforms, including LINUX, AIX, Solaris, and HP-UX. Experience with VMware virtualization technologies, hardware administration, and storage and networking fundamentals is also essential.

The System Operations Administrator will also be responsible for managing and leading root cause analysis, lessons learned, and prevention processes to ensure high-standard deliverables meet Service Level Agreements (SLAs) and Customer Satisfaction (CSAT) targets.

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Electronics, or IT
  • 3-7 years of experience in system administration, with a focus on UNIX platforms
  • Solid knowledge of Windows Server Operating Systems and infrastructure services like Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, and LYNC
  • Experience with at least one virtualization technology, such as VMware
  • Certifications in RHEL, HP CSA, SCSA, MCP, MCSE, MCITP, MCSA, VCP, Citrix, or similar
