Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Facilities Maintenance Professional to join our team. As an integral part of our hotel's operations, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of hotel facilities and equipment.

Your key duties will include responding to guest repair requests, performing preventive maintenance on tools and equipment, and maintaining a high level of cleanliness and organization.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Respond to guest repair requests and communicate with guests to resolve maintenance issues in a timely and professional manner.
  • Perform routine maintenance tasks such as cleaning, lubricating, and replacing parts on various equipment and tools.
  • Identify, locate, and operate shut-off valves for equipment and utility shut-offs for buildings.
  • Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities and requisition parts and supplies as needed.
  • Communicate daily activities and problems that occur to other shifts using approved communication programs and standards.
  • Demonstrate basic knowledge or ability to acquire knowledge in various categories, including air conditioning and refrigeration, electrical, mechanical, plumbing, pneumatic electronic systems, and controls, carpentry, finish skills, kitchen equipment, vehicles, energy conservation, and general building maintenance.
  • Perform surface preparation, painting, minor drywall and wood trim repair, light bulb and AC filter replacement, and thorough cleanup of the painting or repair area.
  • Test, troubleshoot, and perform basic repairs on various types of equipment, including plumbing, electrical components, and internet devices.
  • Program TVs and perform general housekeeping and engineering-related inventory duties.
  • Adhere to safety protocols and use Lockout Tagout system before performing any maintenance work.
  • Assist with interior and exterior landscaping, as well as external sprinkler systems.
  • Demonstrate basic computer skills, including inputting air handler schedules and making temperature changes.
  • Foster a culture of safety and security by following company policies and procedures, reporting any maintenance problems, safety hazards, accidents, or injuries, completing safety training and certifications, and storing flammable materials properly.
