Job Description

The primary objective of this role is to oversee the day-to-day operations of our data center, ensuring that all systems are running efficiently and effectively.

This involves managing critical situations, maintaining uptime, and meeting customer requirements. Additionally, you will be responsible for owning Service Level Agreements (SLAs), Planning Preventive Maintenance (PPM), Safety, Disaster Recovery (DRs), Audit Readiness, Compliance, Space Management, Business Continuity Management System (BCMS), Core Field, Electrical Panels, High-Tension (HT) 110/33KV /11KV, Transformers, Uninterruptible Power Supplies (UPS), Chillers, Power Air Handling Units (PAHU), Power and Cooling Air (PAC), Air Handling Units (AHU), Sewage Treatment Plant (STP), Heavy Duty Storage (HSD), Energy Management, Intelligent Building Management System (IBMS), and Chiller Plant Management.

  1. You will lead a team of Shift Managers and ensure that all planned and unplanned activities are executed on time with good communication.
  2. Tracking complaints and closing deviations within SLA timelines is also part of your responsibility.
  3. You will manage incidents, conduct Root Cause Analysis (RCA), and close RCA recommendations on time with periodic reviews.
  4. Asset management, including warranties, Annual Maintenance Contracts (AMCs), lifecycle, and capacity management, falls under your purview.
  5. You will track and complete 5 PPM tasks within Targeted Achievement Times (TATs) and ensure 100% availability of equipment.
  6. Vendor management, including Returnable Assets Tracking (RATs) and TATs on complaints, and uptime of redundant equipment, is another key aspect of your job.
  7. You will maintain records for all stocks as per Business Continuity Plan (BCP) requirements.
  8. Coordinating with Customer Experience (CE) teams for customer-related queries and submitting reports on time is essential.
  9. Maintaining compliance at 100% with periodic trackers is also crucial.
  10. You will adhere to physical security processes and prepare Risk Assessments with periodical validations and updates based on incidents and RCAs.
  11. Updating inventories regularly, balancing capacity vs accompany vs balance on a monthly basis with customer details on Rack inventory, is also part of your duties.
  12. Submitting reports on time with agreed-upon timelines is vital.
  13. Audit and compliance must be at 100% levels.
  14. Knowledge in Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) practices is necessary.
Required Skills and Qualifications

Degree/Diploma in Electrical/Mechanical Engineering is required.

At least 7+ years of progressive experience in data center and/or critical facilities operations is necessary.

Solid technical background, understanding, and hands-on experience in data center infrastructure, electrical/mechanical engineering degree, proven work experience in the Data Center Industry, and knowledge in HSE practices are desirable.
