Job Role: Cost Estimation Specialist

Job Responsibilities:

  • Develop accurate cost estimates for manufactured and fabricated components.
  • Analyze technical drawings and specifications to create bill of quantities.
  • Coordinate with cross-functional teams for project costing.
  • Pursue reverse engineering and estimation for new product developments.
  • Identify opportunities for cost reduction and optimize vendor pricing.
  • Maintain and update item databases for purchased items.
  • Support tender responses and prepare commercial proposals.

Essential Skills:

  • Degree in Mechanical Engineering is required.
  • A minimum of 2–5 years of experience in manufacturing/machinery estimation is essential.
  • Proficiency in CAD software, MS Office applications is necessary.
  • ERP knowledge is beneficial but not mandatory.

About the Opportunity: As a Cost Estimation Specialist, you will be accountable for creating accurate cost estimates for manufactured and fabricated components. You will analyze technical drawings and specifications to develop BOQs, coordinate with cross-functional teams for project costing, pursue reverse engineering and estimation for new product developments, identify opportunities for cost reduction and optimize vendor pricing, maintain and update item databases for purchased items, and support tender responses and prepare commercial proposals.
