Special Education Teacher Role

We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Special Education Teacher to join our team. As a Special Educator, you will play a crucial role in creating a supportive and inclusive learning environment for students with special needs.

Job Description:

The ideal candidate will have a passion for working with students with special needs and possess the skills and qualifications necessary to provide individualized education programs (IEPs) that cater to diverse student needs. The successful applicant will be responsible for implementing IEPs, adapting teaching methods to meet diverse student needs, providing direct instruction in various subjects, collaborating with general education teachers, assessing student progress, and communicating effectively with parents and stakeholders.

Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Special Education or relevant field
  • RCI Certification in Special Education
  • Proven experience working with students with special needs
  • Understanding of Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) and their implementation
  • Knowledge of different learning styles and ability to implement differentiated instruction
  • Ability to effectively manage classroom behavior and implement behavior intervention strategies
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills
  • Ability to assess students' learning needs and develop appropriate instructional plans
  • Knowledge of assistive technology and its integration into the classroom
  • Familiarity with relevant laws and regulations related to special education
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Patient, empathetic, and passionate about working with students with special needs
  • Ability to work effectively in a team and collaborate with various stakeholders
  • Continuous professional development in the field of special education
  • Understanding of culturally responsive teaching practices
