Structural Tekla Designer Job Description

The ideal candidate will join our team to work on integrated design projects.

  1. Model and analyze structures using Tekla software for power generation applications.
  2. Familiarity with US details in Tekla is essential.
  3. Verify general arrangement drawings.
  4. Create 3D models of steel structures, including pipe racks, platforms, equipment support structures, and conveyor systems.
  5. Design rebar reinforcement for concrete foundations in buildings, control rooms, GSUs, stacks, pumps, and skids.
  6. Develop models of pipe supports, equipment foundations, and pipe sleepers.
  7. Design staircases, ladders, and handrails.
  8. Conduct interference checks with other disciplines and resolve clashes.
  9. Create concrete layouts and reinforcement detail drawings.
  10. Execute design changes and project revisions.
  11. Generate material takeoffs (MTOs) for steel, concrete, and reinforcement using Tekla.
  12. Check connections between various members.
Required Skills and Qualifications
  • A diploma in Civil Engineering is desirable, with 2-6 years of relevant experience.
  • Proficiency in Tekla and AutoCAD is preferred.
  • Expert knowledge of shop and field drawings in structural detailing.
  • Collaborative skills to work with engineers and designers in a multi-discipline project environment.
  • Ability to complete modeling and detailing tasks independently.
