Program Management Role

Job Overview:

We are seeking a skilled Program Manager to lead the delivery of software engineering projects and programs. This role involves partnering with cross-functional teams to ensure understanding of priorities, execution visibility, project delivery, and achievement of targeted outcomes.

The successful candidate will be responsible for managing program statuses, financial forecasts, risk tracking, team member communications, and ensuring process compliance.

Responsibilities:

  • Program Strategy and Planning: Define and manage the scope, goals, and roadmap of software programs.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Lead program-level planning and prioritization in collaboration with engineering and product leadership.
  • Project Execution: Coordinate efforts across multiple software development teams and technical team members.
  • Progress Monitoring: Facilitate milestone planning and progress tracking, ensuring cross-team understanding, visibility, and transparency throughout the program lifecycle.
  • Delivery Excellence: Monitor and report on project and program progress, ensuring adherence to timelines, budgets, and quality standards.
  • Risk and Issue Management: Manage project and program issues, maintaining risk mitigation plans and contingency strategies.

Requirements:

To succeed in this role, you should have:

  • A bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or a related technical field.
  • 5+ years of experience in program or project management in software engineering or a related technical field.
  • Experience with software development life cycle (SDLC) and Agile methodologies.
  • Relevant certifications such as PMP, SAFe, or equivalent.
