Legal Officer Role

The Legal Officer will be responsible for managing administrative matters of client companies, maintaining and developing relationships with clients.

This role involves reviewing corporate and commercial agreements, documents, and legal manuals for client companies, as well as coordinating and executing legal, administrative, and banking activities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare corporate documents, such as directors' resolutions, powers of attorney, and service agreements.
  • Participate in the incorporation and termination processes of companies.
  • Provide fee quotations and charge fees in accordance with company policies.
  • Monitor productivity and performance against targets to ensure financial and client goals are met.
  • Maintain accurate information in client files and ensure compliance with legal and economic frameworks.
  • Manage companies and ensure management agreements are available in client files.
  • Develop and update legal manuals and procedures, contributing to system development and maintenance.
  • Prepare monthly reports and work on assigned projects.
  • Offer advice and guidance to colleagues and perform other tasks related to the position.
Candidate Profile

We seek a candidate with a strong background in law or economics, who has excellent organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills.

Required qualifications include:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Law or Economics, or equivalent qualification.
  • Minimum 8 years of experience in legal and corporate services in a law firm, trust, or company management firm.
  • Strong commercial mindset, initiative, and positive attitude.
  • Excellent client-facing skills, with ability to communicate effectively with diverse audiences.
  • English language fluency is required, with additional languages an asset.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with ability to adapt and work in a dynamic team environment.
  • Proven leadership and team player skills, with ambition to excel in the role.
