As an accomplished Audit Manager, you will oversee the execution of statutory audits from planning to final reporting. Your leadership skills and technical expertise will be crucial in ensuring audit quality, efficiency, and compliance.
The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of managing large-scale audit engagements independently, with a strong ability to lead multiple teams and staff under varying timelines.
Key responsibilities include:
- End-to-End Audit Execution: Oversee all stages of statutory audits, ensuring accuracy, efficiency, and compliance.
- Multi-Team Management: Handle the supervision of numerous teams and their team leaders, focusing on staffing, training, and performance evaluations.
- Compliance & Technical Accuracy: Ensure alignment with auditing standards (SA 200 series onwards) and regulatory requirements.
- Cross-Functional Coordination: Collaborate closely with tax, finance, and legal teams to identify control gaps and compliance issues.
- Client Management: Act as the primary point of contact for clients, handling escalations, walkthroughs, and closure.
- Risk-Based Auditing: Apply risk assessment methodologies to concentrate audit efforts on high-impact areas.
- Regulatory Awareness: Possess in-depth knowledge of relevant laws, including Companies Act, Income Tax Act, SEBI regulations, CARO, IFC, CSR compliance, and other applicable laws.
- Tech-Driven Approach: Leverage audit tools, checklists, and digital documentation systems to enhance turnaround time and accuracy.
Required Skills and Qualifications
- Chartered Accountant (CA) with 4-6 years of experience in statutory audits, preferably in a reputable audit firm.
- Independent Operator: Must have a documented history of successfully closing audits without external supervision.
- Team Leader: Experience managing multiple teams leads and concurrent audit teams.
- Subject Matter Expert: In-depth understanding of auditing standards, financial statement preparation & review, and related laws.
- Strong Legal Acumen: Proficiency in relevant laws, including Companies Act, Income Tax Act, GST, and allied legislation.
- Deadline-Oriented: High accountability, capable of working under pressure, and delivering audits on time.
- Excellent Communication: Strong articulation skills for client presentations, board reporting, and team guidance.
