Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Culinary Manager to oversee the culinary operations of our kitchen. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for directing and coordinating the preparation of meals, managing food production, and ensuring exceptional customer service.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Directs and coordinates the preparation of meals in accordance with company standards.
  • Manages food production, inventory control, and purchasing to ensure efficient use of resources.
  • Supervises and evaluates direct reports, providing coaching and support as needed.
  • Maintains high standards of quality, consistency, and presentation in all menu items.
  • Ensures compliance with health and safety regulations, including HACCP and Public Health standards.
  • Coordinates with other departments to ensure seamless service delivery.
  • Maintains accurate records of food production, inventory, and labor costs.
  • Develops and implements menus that meet customer preferences and dietary needs.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Culinary Arts or related field.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in a senior culinary role, preferably in an upscale hotel or resort.
  • Strong leadership and management skills, with ability to motivate and develop staff.
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills, with ability to work effectively under pressure.
  • Knowledge of food safety and sanitation procedures, including HACCP and Public Health standards.
  • Familiarity with inventory control and purchasing systems.
  • Ability to analyze data and make informed decisions to improve operational efficiency.
