About this Role:

As a seasoned Technical Project Manager / Senior Java Professional, you will be responsible for driving the technical execution and project management of various projects. Your expertise in Java backend development will be complemented by your exceptional leadership skills, enabling you to effectively manage client expectations, gather requirements, track progress, and collaborate with development managers and leads.

This is a hybrid role that combines technical expertise with project leadership and client-facing skills. The ideal candidate will have at least 5+ years of hands-on Java development experience, as well as a proven ability to manage stakeholders, define technical schedules, and delivery timelines.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Facilitate requirement gathering sessions, translate business requirements into actionable technical tasks.
  • Design and develop Apache Spark-based batch jobs and large-scale data processing pipelines.
  • Create and optimize complex SQL queries, procedures, and database objects in Oracle.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for client stakeholders, capturing requirements, managing expectations, and ensuring alignment with project timelines and deliverables.
  • Track project status, identify and mitigate risks, and ensure effective resource allocation.
  • Collaborate with development managers, leads, and QA teams to define schedules, allocate resources, and make key implementation decisions.
  • Contribute to design discussions, architecture reviews, and enforce coding standards and best practices.
  • Support the development team in troubleshooting issues and resolving production defects.
  • Maintain clear and concise project documentation, status reports, and release plans.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • At least 5+ years of professional Java development experience with strong backend system design exposure.
  • Expertise in Oracle SQL and relational databases, with the ability to write and optimize complex queries and procedures.
  • Experience with batch processing systems and exposure to Apache Spark or equivalent large-scale data processing frameworks.
  • Familiarity with job scheduling tools such as Control-M or Autosys.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to negotiate priorities.
  • Experience in project tracking, delivery management, and coordination across multi-disciplinary teams.
  • Proven ability to work in Agile or iterative delivery environments.
