Procurement Specialist Role

We are seeking a skilled Procurement Specialist to oversee our procurement processes, ensuring timely and cost-effective acquisition of goods for our operations.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Collaborate with internal departments to identify procurement needs and develop specifications.
  • Review and process purchase orders accurately and in a timely manner to meet organizational requirements.
  • Manage supplier relationships to ensure quality service and goods are delivered on time.
  • Monitor inventory levels and initiate procurement activities to maintain optimal stock levels.
  • Negotiate contracts and terms with vendors to achieve cost-effective purchasing targets.
  • Ensure compliance with company procurement policies and procedures.
  • Conduct market research to identify potential suppliers and assess their capabilities and offerings.
  • Report on purchasing activities, spend analysis, and vendor performance to management.
Requirements:
  • Proven work experience in procurement or supply chain roles, ideally within the education sector or a similar industry, with a minimum of 4 years.
  • Strong knowledge of vendor management principles and best practices to ensure seamless procurement operations.
  • Experience in inventory management to help maintain optimal inventory levels and minimize costs.
  • Familiarity with supply chain management processes to enhance organizational procurement efficiency.
  • Essential qualifications include a Bachelor of Engineering degree in Civil, enabling a deep understanding of technical specifications and requirements.
  • Proficiency in purchase order processing is necessary for accurate and timely placement of purchase orders.
  • Proven ability to negotiate with vendors to achieve the best terms and prices for goods and services.
  • Effective communication skills are crucial for clear coordination with internal and external stakeholders to meet procurement goals.
