Strategic Purchasing Manager Role

Job Summary:

The ideal candidate will oversee the purchasing process, ensuring optimal efficiency and cost-effectiveness. They will develop and maintain relationships with key vendors to negotiate favorable terms and prices.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement effective purchasing strategies to minimize unnecessary costs.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key vendors to secure favorable terms and prices.
  • Monitor and control indirect purchases to ensure compliance with company policies.
  • Manage vendor performance, including regular assessments and feedback.

Requirements:

  • 3-8 years of experience in a similar role, preferably in a strategic purchasing or procurement position.
  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Civil Engineering, or a related field.
  • Proficiency in SAP and other relevant systems, including contract management software.
  • Strong negotiation skills and ability to build effective relationships with vendors.

Preferred Skills:

  • Direct and Indirect Purchasing expertise, including contract management and negotiations.
  • Vendor management and relationship-building skills, including conflict resolution and communication.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, including data analysis and reporting.

Additional Information:

The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of purchasing processes, excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, and the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
