Job Description:

As a Cab Climate System Engineer, you will play a vital role in shaping the future of transportation by designing and developing sustainable solutions for cab climate systems. You will be responsible for identifying customer needs and prioritizing development activities, leading concepts and ideas to reality that will drive the technological transformation of our thermal organization.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in thermal/mechanical engineering and experience in system engineering, thermal management, and product development. They will possess excellent communication skills, be able to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams, and have a solid understanding of agile development methodologies.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Define CAB Climate functions with close interaction with Thermal Cooling and Heating Engineers to understand brand requirements on Driver Experience and Cabin Climate functions.
  2. Support and set performance targets at individual component level to various components developed by component owners.
  3. Interact with simulation analysts to analyze cooling & heating system performance virtually and plan & connect with full vehicle testing team for heating & cooling performance verification.
  4. Verify the Heating system test outcome and recommend if any necessary actions to make the system run according to set requirements in EPIC pre-requisites.
  5. Secure vehicle legal and certification requirements from heating & cooling system.
  6. Lead and own the System FMEA for heating & cooling system and guide the DFMEAs by component owners and engineers.
  7. Responsible to secure the heating and cooling system and End User Function requirements like cab heating function.
  8. Responsibility of QDCF (Quality, Delivery, Cost & Feature) of your system.
  9. Support component engineers with a target for component performance and durability as an input to their technical requirements for supplier selection and agreements.
  10. Define level 4 (system) time plan including the most important cross functional milestones using APQP as the supporting process.
  11. Accountable to manage Q-Tools like, D-FMEA, S-FMEA, Risk register, DFA(Manufacturing) & DFAM (After Market).
  12. Take full engineering responsibility, independently deliver the tasks in area as well as guide our junior team members within our Thermal Management groups.
